Scottsdale Police looking for two jewelry store robbery suspects

Scottsdale Police officials are asking for the public's help, as they search for two people accused of robbing a jewelry store late Friday morning.

According to a statement released by Scottsdale Police Friday night, the incident happened at around 11:15 a.m., at Edmar Jewelry on the 11000 block of E. Via Linda Drive. According to the statement, the suspects, one male and one female, entered the store at that time, and the man allegedly went on to smash the glass display cases, and removed several pieces of jewelry.

Scottsdale Police officials said at some point during the robbery, a struggle ensued between the employees and the two suspects. During the struggle, one of the employees was hit in the head, numerous times, with the male suspect's handgun. The suspects, according to the statement, then fled the scene on foot.

According to police, the male suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, wearing at the time a long sleeve dark colored hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes with a white stripe. The male suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The female suspect, according to police, is described as a white female in her 20s, wearing at the time a dark colored beanie cap, blonde wig, black sunglasses, dark-colored long-sleeve sweatshirt, dark pants, black shoes and wearing a dark-colored backpack.
