Police: Jones had "social relationship" with killing spree victims found dead in Fountain Hills
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Scottsdale Police officials say Wednesday that Dwight Lamon Jones, the man believed to be responsible for a killing spree that rocked the Valley from May 31 to June 4, had a "social/recreational relationship" with the two people who were found dead on Monday.
Mary Simmons and Bryon Thomas were found dead inside a Fountain Hills home on Monday. In a statement, police say Simmons met Jones four to five years ago through tennis, and would occasionally meet to play at local parks.
In addition, Scottsdale Police say that a .40 caliber Glock handgun that was recovered at the Extended Stay America room rented by Jones has been ballistically linked to the murder victims.
