Scottsdale Road heavily restricted as crews repair gas line

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Scottsdale Road will be restricted throughout the morning commute as crews repair an eroded pipeline.

Southwest Gas is on the scene of a gas leak near Scottsdale Road and Second Street. Crews were there on Tuesday night repairing a leak, when they noticed an eroded pipeline.

Crews are making repairs to the pipeline and as a result, northbound and southbound Scottsdale Road is restricted to one lane in each direction. The restrictions will last throughout the morning commute.

Drivers are advised to use Drinkwater or Goldwater Boulevards as an alternative.

Avoid the area if possible.
