Six people taken into custody after shots fired in Glendale neighborhood

Six people have been taken into custody after police responded to reports of shots fired in a Glendale neighborhood.

Glendale police say they responded to the neighborhood near 67th Avenue and Missouri on Tuesday morning after hearing reports of shots fired in the area.

After arriving at the scene, police followed a car that was leaving the neighborhood at a high speed. After pulling over the car, five people ran on foot from the vehicle, but three were immediately taken into custody.

Shortly after this, police located and took the two other two suspects into custody and police believe they fired the gunshots. Police also arrested a sixth person, who was hiding in a nearby backyard.

The investigation is ongoing by Glendale police. There have been no reported injuries.
