Snowfall in the high country closes schools, roads

Residents in many parts of Northern Arizona woke up to snowy conditions outside on Wednesday.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for parts of Northern Arizona until 12 p.m. and snowfall in Flagstaff has forced all Flagstaff Unified schools to close all day on Wednesday.

In addition to school closures, I-17 has been closed near Sedona due to heavy snowfall. Motorists took route 89A to get to Flagstaff and at least one semi truck jacknifed causing a traffic backlog.

After several hours, the Sedona turnoff was re-opened.

Prescott is also getting a heavy dose of snow and Fox 10's Marcy Jones is there and she has the story.
