Man killed in weekend crash

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man was killed in a crash that happened near 31st Avenue and Southern on Sunday afternoon.

Phoenix fire says Eddie Ray Roper died when his vehicle collided with a Jeep. Both Roper and the driver of Jeep were pulled from their vehicles and Roper was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the Jeep has not been identified.

The crash shut down the intersection of 31st Avenue and Southern just after 12 p.m. on Sunday.
