St. Mary's distributed food to over 12,000 families

Officials with St. Mary's Food Bank announced Wednesday they were able to distribute food to over 12,000 families, on the eve of Thanksgiving.

According to a statement, the food bank distributed 3,511 turkeys, holiday food bags, and food boxes to their clients in Phoenix and Surprise on Wednesday, and over the course of three days, the were able to distribute food to 12,661 families.

Over 10,000 families, according to the statement, received turkeys, with the rest receiving ham and chicken to go with their holiday food boxes.
