PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Officials with the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County announced Monday that its Downtown Phoenix facilities will close at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, due to President Donald Trump's rally at the Phoenix Convention Center that is scheduled for that same day.
According to the statement, access to the Downtown Phoenix facilities will be difficult, due to the anticipated assembly of people related to Trump's visit, in addition to the accompanying road closures. Facilities affected include the Old Courthouse, South Court Tower, East Court Building, Central Court Building, West Court Building, and the Downtown Justice Center.
Officials said people seeking orders of protection, or any other form of emergency relief, are encouraged to go to municipal courts, justice courts, or regional Superior Court facilities, instead of the Downtown facilities.
