Supporters, protesters of Brett Kavanaugh demonstrate outside Sen. Jeff Flake's office

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Brett Kavanaugh supporters and protesters were divided outside of Sen. Jeff Flake's office, both vying for one thing -- the truth to be told, justice to be served, and their voices be heard.

One group protested with a 24-hour vigil for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

Their message to Sen. Flake is to vote no to keep Kavanaugh off the bench.

"He's an inappropriate choice for the Supreme Court," Kim Mundis said. "The fact that he has not done everything in his power to advocate for a full FBI investigation concerns us. That he's not concerned with getting to know who Kavanaugh is and what the truth is about these very credible accusations."

Others are defending Kavanaugh, saying he's innocent.

"These incidents go back 36 years in high school for crying out loud!" Kathryn Kobor said. "What are you going to do next? Preschool? How can you condemn a man without proof? This country was based on justice and freedom, so until we see truth, we'll stick with Brett Kavanaugh."

Both sides continue to call on Sen. Flake for help in what justice they believe should be served.
