Suspect arrested after leading authorities on chase

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A suspect is behind bars after leading authorities on a chase throughout central Phoenix on Tuesday.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety tells Fox 10 that the suspect was eventually taken into custody near Interstate 10 and Seventh Avenue after leading authorities on a chase along the freeway.

Police followed the suspect's vehicle with their helicopter and arrested him after he abandoned his vehicle and tried to run away.

Investigators say the vehicle he was driving was stolen.
