Suspect climbs behind pharmacy counter in robbery

- A reward is offered to help find a suspect who stole bottles of prescription medications right off a pharmacy shelf in Mesa.

Silent Witness spokesperson Sgt. James Rothschild says the suspect walked into the CVS pharmacy near Dobson and Southern on Monday, August 1st, at about 3:30pm.  The man reportedly climbed over the counter while pharmacists were preoccupied helping other customers.  Police say the suspect removed several prescription bottles from the shelf, climbed back over the counter, and left the store through an entrance in the rear.

The suspect is described a 25-year-old black man, six feet tall, thin build, with shoulder-length dreadlocks.  He was wearing a black and multi-colored print "boonie" style hat and a red bandana, a white baseball T-shirt, and basketball shorts.

If you recognize the suspect, call 480-WITNESS.  You can remain anonymous and there is a reward of up to $1000 involved.
