PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix Police have identified the suspect who was shot and killed in the officer-involved shooting as 44-year-old Eduardo Andrade.
Police were investigating the deadly officer-involved shooting near Central Avenue and in between Baseline Road and Southern Avenue.
Officers initially responded to reports of an accident near 3rd Street and St. Charles in south Phoenix.
When they arrived, they made contact with a person who they believed to be involved with the accident. The suspect then pulled out a gun and started shooting at officers.
Police pulled back and returned fire where the suspect was pronounced dead.
The neighborhood around the scene is blocked off.
No officers were injured.
