Suspect sought in 2017 stabbing death of Valley man

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Time has not healed wounds for Evelyn Paulos since she lost her son.

"I miss him... the fact that he [is] gone is like it broke my heart... I'm going crazy, it's been a year and three months," she said. "He was very, very loving person. He loved everybody."

On June 3, 2017, her son, 25-year-old Evin Paulos, was found dead. His body was discovered shortly before 10 p.m. in the desert near Pinnacle Peak and Cave Creek Roads.

Police say there were obvious signs of trauma.

"It's just rough, rough not seeing him," said Eve Thomas, Evin's sister. "We live in a house that is filled with memories."

His family says Evin aspired to own his own shop. They describe him as hard working, smart, and loving.

Today, Silent Witness released a photo of a man they call a suspect with probably cause. He's been identified as Michael Arredondo.

"We want just some answers, just something please," Thomas said. "That something, that gives us a little bit of light so we can rest as well."

"Anybody who know anything about, you're a mother, sister, anybody, please just let us know anything," Evelyn said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
