Suspect uses knife to rob valley clothing shop

Phoenix Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a clothing store in east Phoenix. A reward is offered to help find the suspect who robbed the store.

According to Silent Witness spokesperson Sgt. James Rothschild, the suspect entered the Burlington Coat Factory store at 45th Street and Thomas on Monday, December 14th at about 2:20pm. Police say the suspect picked up several pairs of shoes and watches and tried to walk out of the store without paying. When a store worker approached him, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the Burlington Coat Factory employee.

The suspect is described as a 20 to 25-year-old black man, five feet six to five feet seven inches, weighing 135 to 145 pounds, and wearing a gray knit hat with a black pom-pom on top, a black shirt and black pants with a red stripe. Police are also looking for a woman who's described as an investigative lead: she is described as a heavy-set black woman with a ponytail, wearing a gray sweater, pink shirt and gray gloves. The suspect vehicle is described as a white or light-colored small four-door SUV.
