PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Officials with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport said Sunday afternoon that all portions of the airport are back open, following a suspicious item situation that closed off parts of the airport.
According to Sky Harbor officials earlier on Sunday, Police were checking out the item in Terminal 4, and Security Checkpoints B and C were closed, as a result. In addition, Westbound traffic to Terminal 4, along Sky Harbor Boulevard, was also restricted.
Viewers told FOX 10 Phoenix earlier that there are reportedly travelers who are stuck on planes heading to Phoenix, or flights scheduled to leave Phoenix for another city.
Officials said while operations in the terminal are returning to normal, and all roadways are open, minor flight delays are possible, and they encourage travelers to check their flight status with their airline.
