SWAT team shows students how robotics are changing law enforcement

The Scottsdale Police SWAT team responded to the Hohokam Traditional School Wednesday. It wasn't a barricade, or anything bad; the department showed how robotics are helping change the way law enforcement handle situations.

Officers deployed the robots used by the team, giving students a chance to see the robots up close.

The school's 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students recently won the Arizona VEX IQ Robotics Championship and are competing in the 2016 VEX World Competition in Louisville, Kentucky.
