Teen accused of raping classmates appears in court

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A San Tan Valley teen accused by police of raping more than a dozen classmates made an appearance in court Monday.

A status hearing was held for Tyler Kost in which a judge set the next hearing date in February.

Kost's lawyers say he is the victim of an elaborate plot by a group of teen girls who wanted to get even with him because "he was a player."

Attorneys have subpoenaed Facebook message records which they say proves Kost is innocent. The attorneys are now waiting for those records to be submitted from Facebook.
