Teen critically injured after being hit by car while riding bike

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A 15-year-old boy is in critical, but stable condition this morning after he was hit by a car on Monday night while riding a bicycle.

According to Phoenix police, the boy was hit by the car while riding his bicycle near 19th Avenue and Colter when he didn't stop for a red light.

The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman with two teenage passengers, stayed at the scene.

None of them were hurt.

Police say impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
