Teen in critical condition after being struck by car near ASU

A teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a car near Arizona State University on Friday.

Tempe police say the 17-year-old was riding his skateboard near University and College, when he was struck by a car that was driven by two women. The women stayed at the scene after the collision and impairment does not appear to be a factor.

The teen was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.

Eastbound University between College and Rural was shut down for several hours due to the collision.
