Man killed in crash on Price Road

TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- Officials with Tempe Police Department said late Thursday afternoon that a man is dead, following a crash.

According to police, officers responded to an area near northbound Price Road and eastbound Broadway Road, where a car heading east on Broadway collided with a car heading north on Price.

Police officials said the driver of the northbound car, was ejected from the car, and was declared dead after being taken to the hospital. Tempe police identified the victim as a man in his 60s.

The driver of the other car, according to police officials, fled the scene of foot, and was located later by Mesa Police officers. The driver that fled is a man in his 40s, and he has since been taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is in its early stages, and investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash, and whether impairment was a factor.
