Tempe police warn drivers of heavy traffic following music festival, ASU game

Tempe traffic will be heavier than usual tonight due to the Summer’s End Music Festival and the USC/ASU football game.
Traffic officials are hoping drivers will plan ahead and take extra precautions.
Sgt. Steven Carbajal with the Tempe Police Department offers these tips to help people navigate the heavy traffic:
Those attending the concert at Tempe Beach Park tonight should enter from the west using Priest Dr
Those attending the football game, without an assigned parking location, should utilize Scottsdale Rd
Give yourself plenty of time to get in and out of the event you will be attending
Please be patient.  The concert and the game may end around the same time which will certainly create traffic delays.
