Thieves target Pete's Fish and Chips restaurant

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Pete's Fish and Chips has been in the valley for 68-years. The owners say they've never had a break-in problem until now, two in the last weeks.

A man is up to something fishy; that's what the owner of Pete's Fish and Chips says the surveillance pictures show.

Images from the front and side show a hooded man, one of two who allegedly burglarized the restaurant.

"Without going into too many details it was pretty savage," said Pat Foster.

Foster says the pair broke into the restaurant on Indian School and 44th Street in early November. Then five days later they tried to break into one of the other Pete's Fish and Chip locations.

"It's just wrong on so many levels, these guys the police told us are professionals, so we are not the only people they are violating, and God knows what else they are doing," said Foster.

The owner says the thieves were brazen; there's even a sign warning potential criminals of the 24-hour surveillance cameras. The store has blasted the pictures all over social media and is now offering a reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to an arrest.

"The goal here is to catch this guy that's all I want to do, we have taken precautions at our store, we are fine, I want to pound flesh, I want to stop this guy," said Foster.

At Pete's it is business as usual, but for the owners behind the scenes, they're on a mission to identify the mystery man and his accomplice.

"They need to be caught, and they need to be stopped," said Foster.
