PHOENIX (FOX 10) - The legacy lives on. Thousands ran on Saturday supporting a Valley legend: Pat Tillman.
The 15th annual Pat's Run happened in Downtown Phoenix on Saturday. The event is dedicated to the late Pat Tillman who left his career with the Arizona Cardinals to join the US army. Sadly, Tillman was killed on-duty in Afghanistan back in 2004.
But on Saturday, thousands supported his brave efforts to leave the comforts of a good career for a life of sacrifice.
"Everybody is here," one runner said. "It's great to see 30,000 running by here - it's pretty cool."
All proceeds will go to the Pat Tillman Foundation - which helps provide scholarships to veterans and their spouses.
