PHOENIX (KSAZ) - People living in a Northwest Phoenix neighborhood are relieved to hear that three people have been arrested, in connection with a number of shooting incidents.
Two of the men are accused of robbing three men and shot them dead. The other, according to police, acted as a getaway driver.
Julian Perry, 20, Paul Grant, 18, and David Reyes, 18, were all arrested and booked on first degree murder charges, in addition to armed robbery, in connection with the deaths of 23-year-old Marcel Cowans, 23-year-old Frederick Eriven, and 20-year-old Gerardo Perez.
Police claim in January, Perry and Grant lured Cowans and Eriven to the area of 87th Avenue and Thomas for a drug deal. Their alleged intent, however, was to rob Cowans and Eriven.
During the meeting, Perry entered the car and shot the victims, stealing drugs and personal items. Grant, meanwhile, stole things from the victims, and acted as the lookout.
Months later in March, Perez was found, shot dead, in his car in the same area. In this incident, Perry and Grant area accused of entering the car, shooting Perez and stealing his things. Reyes was reportedly the lookout and driver.
