Tortoise found wandering Mesa

Mesa police report the discovery of a tortoise this morning. He (or she?) was seen in the area of Guadalupe between Crimson and Signal Butte.

The tortoise seemed in good condition, so he was turned over to foster care.

Mesa police say the totoise's owner later came forward and have been reunited.
