Donald Trump makes campaign stop in Arizona

Donald Trump paid a visit to the valley on Saturday. He held a private fundraiser at a home in Paradise Valley, followed by a rally at the Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix.

Supporters for Donald Trump were showing up at the rally site early on Saturday morning. Parking gates opened at 10:30 a.m.

Doors for the event opened at 1:00 p.m. The rally begins at 4pm. Department of Public Safety troopers, who are handled security for the event, asked people to leave weapons at home, and to avoid bringing any signs. People were able to take bottled water to the rally.

Trump is expected to appear at a reception in Phoenix at a private home in Paradise Valley. Tickets for the event start at $2,700 per person, and photos with Trump cost $10,000 each.

A protest took place at Encanto Park from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. which was organized by community groups and Democratic lawmakers. Two groups of bikers were expected to offer security to Trump supporters. DPS has been told by both protesters and supporters that they intend to keep the events peaceful.
