PHOENIX (KSAZ) - MCSO officials say they have arrested two people on drug charges.
In a statement released Saturday, officials say 32-year-old Eden Camacho-Montoya and 42-year-old Felizardo Castro-Lopez have been booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on several felony charges, including Narcotic Drugs for Sale, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, Conspiracy, and Possession of Weapons in a drug offense. Officials say detectives with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) and the Maricopa County Drug Suppression Task Force (MCDST) were directed two two apartments in the North Phoenix area, after MCSO detectives received information about a subject selling large quantities of heroin on the streets of Phoenix.
Camacho-Montoya and Castro-Lopez, according to the statement, were arrested at the apartments. Detectives serving a search warrant inside the apartments found narcotics, a large amount of cash, and other evidence of drug sales. Additional drugs were also located in the suspects' cars.
In all, officials say they seized around 1.8lbs of methamphetamine, five ounces of heroin, 53 fentanyl pills, around 13 grams of cocaine, two handguns, two cars, and around $41,000 in cash.
