Two people critically hurt in overnight shooting

PHOENIX - Two people have been critically hurt after an overnight shooting near 19th Avenue and Peoria.

Phoenix Fire crews encountered two victims when they responded to the scene of the shooting. They say a man was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot two or three times in the chest. A woman who was shot in the head was also rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The victims ages are not available at this time. Police have been on the scene investigating the deadly shooting overnight.
