Valley gym holds 24-hour fundraiser in honor of fallen Salt River Police Officer

ANTHEM, Ariz. (FOX 10) - As the community continues to mourn the death of Salt River Police Officer Clayton Townsend, many have started fundraisers for his family. One gym in the Valley is hosting a 24-hour Roll-A-Thon in his honor.

Infinite BJJ and MMA in Anthem has decided to open their doors for 24 hours to raise money for Officer Clayton Townsend, who was killed in the line of duty this past week.

The Roll-A-Thon features a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu technique called rolling where you spar with a partner.

"It would be a great opportunity to help his family out, I feel like it's my duty, as a guy who owns a gym like this I have the opportunity," said the gym owner.

You don't have to be a member at the gym to participate. The fundraiser is open to anyone for 24 hours.
