PHOENIX (KSAZ) - At Camp Invention, creativity is key and kids are encouraged to think outside the box and problem solve.
Teacher Amanda Bays says the best part is watching her campers light up with bright ideas.
"It's amazing to see what they can do, especially at such a young age," she said.
From robot dogs to mini mansions, these kids do everything. While connecting circuits, the kids are making real-life connections to how some of their favorite toys and products are made.
"Today, for example, we're learning about different types of energy and how they were invented, how they work, and the kids were able to add some fo that to their mini mansions," Bays said.
Even though camp is just a week long, the progress each camper makes in that time is immeasurable.
"This group right now is kindergarten through second grade and the fact that they were able to create circuits and turn them on and off, they were so excited and it was the best thing to see," Bays said.
