Valley man having Marvel movie marathon; raising money for kids with cancer

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - One man here in the Valley is really, really excited for "Avengers: Endgame" to hit theaters. So much so, he's going to have a 44-hour Marvel movie marathon to celebrate - and it's all for a good cause.

Geuric Nkunzimana is kicking his feet up to watch every Marvel movie, leading right up to the epic story to be told in "Avengers: Endgame."

This comic book fan is watching his favorite movies back-to-back for a good cause. He's raising money for Lighthouse for Hope, an organization that provides emotional and financial support for families with kids battling cancer. He says those children are warriors, just like the superheroes.

"One, I'm a nerd, huge," Nkunzimana said. "Two, I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And so I thought, why don't I kind of put those two things together and do a movie marathon and just ask people to donate."
