Valley moving company helps military families for the holidays

Instead of moving furniture, Two Men and a Truck moving company is carrying toys that were collected and donated to the Arizona Military Assistance Mission.

"It's phenomenal, usually I cry every time I talk about this event," Michelle Fawbush said.

Fawbush says all the toys go to the non-profit's annual toy drive next month.

"The majority of the people that we help are below the poverty line, so to see that means a lot," she said.

The event is December 17 at Luke Air Force Base and it's a big Christmas celebration where military families get to gather gifts they otherwise wouldn't have for Christmas.

"The parents get to go through and so do the kids and the kids get a bag and they get to go through and grab whatever they want," Fawbush said.

Two Men and a Truck helped gather nearly 1,000 toys from several different entities around the Valley.

"We actually have some huge dump-it trucks," Hung Tran said.

Tran says this is the first time the company has participated locally, but it won't be the last.

"I think it's going to be awesome, I mean, these are the families that really don't have much financial income," he said.
