Valley temperatures cooler than the east coast

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - It turns out it was warmer on the east coast than it was here in Arizona.

It was a balmy 64 degrees in New York City, very mild with similar temperatures in Boston and Washington D.C.

People who booked a winter trip to the valley were a little disappointed, instead of shorts and t-shirts they had to bring sweaters and hats.

FOX 10's Marc Martinez went to Sky Harbor Airport to talk with travelers about the chilly weather.
