Valley woman hopes to inspire DREAMers through art

- Candles for prayers and a mural that aims to inspire and motivate.

"It's a young migrant field worker working in the field and she comes across this cage," Lucinda Hinojos said. "She opens it up and inside two doves represents peace and I'm also gonna add five butterflies that will represent the DREAMers."

Hinojos is the mind behind the masterpiece and a local artist who wanted to make a difference by collaborating with organizations in need of bringing awareness to social justice issues that are in crisis.

"One of the biggest crisis that we're going through is DACA, DREAMers and getting a Clean Dream Act," she said.

So, she got to work on this piece, which is a symbol of hope and freedom. A crowd gathered to watch as she moves closer to the final touches.

"For the DREAMers, letting them know that we go your back, we're here for you, supporting you," she said.

And for the DREAMers, what do she want this piece to fill them with?

"Motivation, inspiration and hope," she said.
