PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A Phoenix pharmacy hit by thieves was now hit by vandals in the same week. The owner of the Melrose Pharmacy says she isn't sure why her business and now her building have become a target.
The burglary Tuesday morning was all caught on the stores surveillance system. Two people were dressed wearing hoodies that covered their faces, they smashed the windows of the pharmacy, came inside, and stole drugs along with the store's cash register.
Then Wednesday morning the owner came to work and saw graffiti on her building. As you can imagine they felt a little defeated, but this business on 7th Avenue between Indian School and Camelback are a tight group, and stick together when something like this happens.
"Sometimes you feel like you are going to go cry in the corner, I have been pretty strong about this so far, and it really actually started coming to a head when you know I have been getting the calls from people, and feeling the love from people checking in on us," said Teresa Stickler.
The folks at Harley's Bistro brought Stickler lunch and a bottle of wine. They told her they are working to find someone to paint the building for us. The outpouring of support has her emotional.
The two burglars and vandals are still on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call Phoenix Police.
