What to expect from Tropical Storm Rosa

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Tropical Storm Rosa is expected to bring us rain as well as some potential flash flooding. We spoke with the National Weather Service to learn more.

Sunday through Tuesday Arizona we will see rain that will be from what's left of Rosa, with the most rain falling between Monday night into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

"We're expecting pretty significant rainfall amounts, widespread one to three inches across most of Arizona," said Larry Hopper with the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

The rain could lessen as the storm moves toward Arizona, but it could also bring a small dust storm Sunday evening.

"It could be a tropical depression or tropical storm at that point, but regardless it's going to be a significant increase," says Hopper.

So stay prepared and remember to never cross a road that is flooded.

"Right now the biggest thing is remain weather aware," said Hopper. "Check our forecast, check the Nation Hurricane Center's forecast, check your local news outlets and see what the forecast looks like."
