Who killed Patricia Cota? Family makes plea for help in solving case

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Two little girls made an emotional plea for help in solving the murder of their mother. Patricia Cota was just 24 years old when her life was taken two years ago.

Cota's body was discovered in an alley in El Mirage on January 31, 2014. Her boyfriend is a suspect in the case, but detectives believe someone else may have been involved.

Patricia's father now takes care of her little girls, now ages 3 and 6.

"I want justice for my mom because me and Sienna love her very much and the both of us miss her and we want justice a lot," said Serenity Cota.

George Cota added, "She asks me every day, have you heard anything from the detectives? This is a 6-year-old girl."
