TUCSON, Ariz. (AP/FOX 10) - Authorities in Tucson have arrested a 55-year-old woman in connection to the killings of her two grandchildren who were found dead in a home on Thursday.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department says 55-year-old Dorothy Flood faces two counts of first-degree murder in the killings of 8-year-old twins, Jaden and Jorden Webb.
Police say deputies responded to a call for medical assistance at a home in the city's west side Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Once units arrived, they discovered an unresponsive adult female. While giving the woman medical care, police found two children with noticeable signs of trauma and determined they were dead. Police say the woman had symptoms of an apparent overdose. Police also confirmed the twins' injuries are gunshot wounds.
Flood was arrested on April 5 and was transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
