Woman hit and killed by car in Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday night.

Phoenix police say 53-year-old Cyntha Eagans was hit near 24th Street and Broadway. She died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the collision.

The driver told police that Eagans ran across the road and in front of his vehicle. There were no indications of any impairment at the scene and the driver suffered minor injuries.
