WWII vet scammed out of $43,000

At 94-years-old, a Sun Lakes resident has seen a lot in his lifetime.

He fought in WWII and survived intense combat. People should be thanking him for his service, but instead someone stole tens of thousands of dollars from him.

"I can't believe that anything like this ever happened to me, I faced almost five years in combat during the war and made it out alive. This is the worst tragedy I've ever experienced," said Jack Holder.

Holder got a call saying he'd won $4.7 million in the Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes. Jack his his fiancee ultimately lost $43,000 in the scam.

FOX 10's Marcy Jones spoke with Holder and his wife, and has this report.
