Young Glendale boy credited with helping alert family to house fire

A young boy in Glendale is credited with alerting his family to a house fire that happened Thursday afternoon.

The family of five escaped the flames, thanks to the 11-year-old boy. He was reportedly outside, playing basketball, when he spotted the fire. The boy reportedly rushed in to make sure his whole family got out.

The family's puppy, however, had to be pulled from the burning home by a firefighter.
