Dogs rescued from home up for adoption

A FOX follow-up on three dogs found at a Phoenix home that police say were living in deplorable conditions.

Those dogs are doing a lot better.

The pit bulls were taken from a Phoenix home near 35th Avenue and Encanto.

The Arizona Humane Society Animal EMT's say they found the dogs malnourished, all three chained up, one of them so tightly he couldn't lay down and the collar was embedded in his neck.

But there is some good news, one of the dogs has already been adopted.

"We brought with the kids and everybody down here today, he's been excellent the dog will actually have a good life and a new home... it makes you feel good. You know it makes you feel good to know that the dogs are not going to be mistreated," said Shannon Cogburn.

The other two dogs are still looking for a home and are up for adoption at the Arizona Humane Society's Sunnyslope Campus on Hatcher and 13th Avenue.

The pet owners may face animal cruelty charges.
