Donors from around the world show support for Valley mom who died hours after giving birth to

The family mourning the loss of a valley mother has received an outpouring of support.

Erica Morales never got to hold her babies. She died just hours after giving birth to quadruplets, and now hundreds of strangers from around the world are trying to help the family.

Erica passed away Friday at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital; and since we aired the story yesterday, so many people have been touched by her story.

Erica's best friends set up a Go-Fund-Me account for Erica's family, and now donations for the family are pouring in.

Erica and her husband tried for years to conceive, and what was supposed to be the happiest moment in their life - the birth of their children - hours later turned tragic.

"We were all planning to step up and help, but now even more so without her, says Erica's best friend, Nicole Todman. "We will have to remember her; we will have to tell her kids who she was."

Hundreds of people who were touched by Erica's story have been sending a virtual embrace to Erica's children and husband Carlos through generous gifts and words of encouragement.

Donations started coming in from strangers near and far after Todman set up a fundraising page. Nearly $30,000 has been raised in just one day.

"Prayers from Australia," writes one donor. "Love from Singapore," writes another. And one donor writes, "It takes a village."

A community of strangers, friends and family who are pitching in to help a grieving father and his four newborn babies.

"I'm sure she's going to be watching over them, but I'll be here taking care of them too," Todman says. "They'll know when they ask about their mom that she did everything she possibly could to bring them into this world, including giving her own life for them."
