Family shares photos after adopting puppy rescued from storm drain

A 10-week-old puppy rescued out of a storm drain by a Tempe police officer looks like he's adjusting well to his new family.

Tanner, a pointer-mix, was adopted on December 31 by Rhonda Buttrum-Penrod and her family. Buttrum-Penrod posted photos of the pup with his new family looking happy and cozy on the FOX 10 Facebook page on Thursday.

An officer found Tanner after hearing him whimpering. The puppy had somehow gotten stuck in a storm drain and hiding behind some cobwebs.

He was adopted from the Arizona Humane Society's Petique at Biltmore Fashion Park.

Ashliegh Goebel with AHS described Tanner as being great with other dogs and loving to play.
