Father of teen shot by YCSO deputy arrested, charged with assaulting officer

The father of a young man shot and killed by a Yavapai County Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested.

Monte Proctor was arrested Sunday night, accused of assaulting a police officer.

Police were called to Proctor's home for a loud party, they say he took off and ran from officers.

Authorities say that Proctor threw a full beer can at an officer and approached the officer in an aggressive manner.

Proctor was tased and booked into the YCSO jail on charges of aggravated assault, and resisting arrest.
