The fire began just after 11 p.m. In the attic of a Poore Brothers chip warehouse near MC 85 and Lower Buckeye.
The blaze quickly turned to a first alarm.
We're told the attic is where most of the potato chips are made.
When fire crews arrived, they say it didn't look like there was a fire from the outside, but they saw a lot of smoke when they walked into the building.
Eventually they found a fire burning over one of the deep fat fryers that is used to cook the chips.
There were workers inside at the time, but they were able to get out safely.
According to firefighters, one of the biggest problems was that the fire was happening in part of the roof above the sprinklers, so the water flow could not get to the flames.
Poore Brothers will be open for business Thursday morning, but firefighters say that part of the building will remain closed because of the damage.
