Former Phoenix officer brought into jail

A Phoenix Police officer, accused of kidnapping and sexual assault, was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail Monday evening.

FOX 10 was there as Timothy Morris was booked into jail.

Morris was arrested on Saturday.

Authorities say he was on duty when he arrested a woman with an active warrant. He then put her in handcuffs, engaged in a sexual act with her, and then let her go.

According to police, Morris admitted to the crime and resigned from his position at the Phoenix Police Department.
