Friends, co-workers attend vigil for slain QuikTrip clerk

Hundreds of people showed up for a vigil Friday night in memory of a 21-year-old QuikTrip worker who was shot to death over a pack of cigarettes.

Grant Ronnebeck was well liked by his co-workers and loved by family and friends.  Many of them are still in shock over the murder.

A surveillance video shows a suspect gunning down Ronnebeck in metro Phoenix before calmly stepping over the victim and fleeing the scene.

The chilling depiction was outlined in a court document Friday as a judge set bail at $1 million for 29-year-old Apolinar Altamirano in the shooting of Ronnebeck.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
