Local family receives support from around the world following death of mother who gave birth to

Today we're following up on the story of a valley mother who died after giving birth to quadruplets. People from around the globe have stepped up to help Erica Morales' newborn babies.

Since we first brought you the story, thousands of people have made donations, and today dozens more turned out for a donation drive where they dropped off all kinds of items for the babies.

The family is overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community. More than 150 thousand dollars has been raised for the infants and the family has also received donations from several big companies, including "Huggies," which has committed to giving the babies diapers for a full year!

I call it like a lifetime survival kit, when you have one person doing it with four little babies it's not going to be easy," says Christina Todman, Erica Morales' best friend. "The power of people, thank you everyone. We could not be more gracious, more appreciative for what the world, what the world, not just local community but the world [has done].

For those interested in donating to the Morales family, donations and baby items can be dropped off or sent to The Living Faith Fellowship church, located at 23335 N 18th Drive Phoenix, AZ 85027-6300.
