Perry wore more outfits during her Super Bowl performance than anyone else. They were all created by fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
But in the week leading up to the game, a valley designer was selected to fine-tune the outfits. Viktoriya Koleva was hired to make sure they not only fit, but were all camera ready.
She's worked in fashion design for 10 years in the valley, and the week of the Super Bowl she got a phone call from one of Perry's assistants.
"It was just an incredible experience to be a part of her team," said Koleva. It was a once in a lifetime experience for Koleva. "They simply asked me if I want to help with the costumes, Perry's wardrobe for the Super Bowl."
Koleva was in charge of fine-tuning Perry's costumes. The star had a record-setting four costume changes during her halftime performance, and timing was everything.
"The battle began of sleepless nights for several days... every move was calculated, how many seconds we take to unzip the skirt, how many seconds we take to unzip the jacket," she said.
Koleva fitted all four of Katy's costumes designed by Jeremy Scott, she also made matching gloves for the flame costume.
"The material was very tough to work with, it was a fake leather... she had to be able to take them off with her hands in a matter of two or three seconds," said Koleva.
Koleva's sleepless nights paid off and by showtime the costumes fit perfectly, there were no wardrobe malfunctions.
"I feel flattered they picked me of all the talented designers in town, and I had fun with it," she said.
Koleva is keeping busy launching her own fitness line called VFit, but she will always remember being a part of Katy Perry's Super Bowl Halftime Show.
"Amazing experience, I felt very proud when I saw her on stage performing because I knew I was a part of her crew," said Koleva.
